This project is placed in Spiti in the higher Himalayas. Houses in Spiti are constructed with locally available materials that as mud, which also insulates the structure given its extreme climatic conditions. It is sustainable in all spheres, as even crops for daily consumption are grown. Maintaining its construction aspects, abode in adobe explores the design aspect of keeping in touch with the spiritual realm. The house has a flexible structure, as some part of it can serve as a homestay, considering the increasing tourism here.
